Everything is black and white and nothing is as it seems.
Life and color can be observed as both binary and incredibly nuanced, both simple and deeply complex.
Texture, lighting, character, and context, for example, all affect how the observer appreciates the diversity displayed amidst the ones and zeros, between the black and white.
These piecese were created during a season of exploring different combinations of black and white glazes, and glazing techniques. Small changes to process, environment, and technique affect the experience of the contrasting spectrums drastically.
